A Dive in The 1960s

At its core, the Marinor collection has always been a tribute to classic dive watch designs, reinterpreted with thoughtful historical references and vintage-inspired elements. We've explored the classic vintage dive watch with the Marinor Classic and the military diver with the Marinor Ghost.

Now the Marinor Rainbow transports the collection into the groovy 1960s, embracing one of the era’s defining dive watch features: the decompression scale, commonly seen on the so-called "Rainbow Divers."

fun follows function

decompression timer dial

Decompression scale dive watches, popularized by Mido, Buler, Cornavin, and Vulcain, were essential tools for divers. Their multi-colored scales weren’t just aesthetic—they provided a quick visual reference for depth levels. As divers descended, water absorbed different light wavelengths, causing colors to fade. This made the scales a practical way to associate depths with required stop times, helping prevent decompression sickness.

With a retro rainbow palette and a two-layer "sandwich" dial construction, the Marinor Rainbow blends serious diving heritage with the artistic energy of the era.

Using the rainbow scale

As depth increases, water absorbs light at different wavelengths—red fades at 20m (66ft), yellow at 27m (89ft), and green at 46m (150ft). This spectral attenuation made high-contrast dials and decompression scales essential for divers.

A virtually scratch-proof Experience

1200 hv HARDENED STEEL

The case and bracelet of the Marinor are made out of 316L (Marine-Grade) Stainless Steel in a brushed finish, an obvious choice for dive watches due to its corrosion resistance and high durability.

However, the Marinor undergoes a laborious hardening treatment, rendering the watch virtually scratch-proof.

The scratch resistance is taken further with the choice of sapphire crystal; a material known for its scratch resistance, durability, and water resistance.

Great Watch !

"I have owned the Marinor for a few months. It’s a great looking watch and very comfortable, which I look for. It’s a well finished watch and I feel punches above its weight class. Also, I had some questions when I first received the watch, in which Adam was very responsive, so Kudos on the customer service. I also purchased the white tropical strap that made it a great summer fit. I would highly recommend purchasing this again if I had to."

Great design, superbly finished!

"This was my first Héron purchase, after waiting patiently for the Marinor Rainbow release. The team were responsive, the updates through export and delivery were accurate and the finished product looks as good as you’d expect. It’s well designed, well made and well priced…get it whilst you can! I picked up a blue sailcloth strap too!"

Love these watches!

"Got both the Gilt & Black and Rainbow Black. . love em both and highly recommend. The more I wear them, the more my appreciation grows. . really nothing I would change. Just a very clean, quality execution with the right pop in terms of attention to detail where it matters with the lume, hardened steel, bezel style, and markers. The hype is real - everything I was hoping for and expecting from Heron! I think these punch well about their price points."

Awesome watch!

"I bought the Marinor in Caribbean Blue and have nothing but good things to say. The movement is very accurate, the bezel is perfectly aligned and the sapphire looks great. I would note that the Caribbean Blue is more of a teal than the website pictures look so if you are hoping its a light blue you'll be disappointed. Its a great color!"

Modern Heritage - Classic & Individual

"I spent so long trying to find my perfect diver, I knew I wanted no date, no cyclops, black and gilt, and not some huge statement piece. Finally found this and it was love at first sight. A love that has grown with wear, from the comfort of the bracelet, the relative slimness of the watch, or the pronounced domed crystal. My only negative has nothing to do with the watch, the delivery was delayed and it arrived later than expected, however, communication was superb. Simply put, this is a superbly finished and well put together timepiece that, in my opinion, puts much more expensive status pieces to shame."

An absolute stunner! :)

"I have been the happy owner of a Marinor Rainbow for a couple of weeks now and it's a real beauty! After some slight shipping hiccups (outside Herons control) I received quick and thoughtful responses via mail and shortly thereafter the watch arrived in perfect condition. Although it's only been a few weeks I've received quite a few compliments already from friends but also complete strangers I meet during my job. I especially enjoyed a customer I was helping asking me a bunch of questions about my watch, whilst himself wearing a lovely Tudor Pelagos. Game recognize game haha ⌚"

This was my first physical

"This was my first physical encouter with a Heron watch. Really liked the look of it in photos and ordered one from the January 2026 pre-order. All in all the watch is really nicely finished for the pricepoint it's competing in, colour is awesome and love the design also in flesh. Also appreciate the company giving updates on the schedule with the slight delay."

My 3rd Marinor

"Buying essentially the same watch says it all. Absolutely love the brand and what Héron is doing. The White Rainbow is a real stunner and fenomenal as all the other ones are. Ordered my 4th one. . ."

An Instant Favourite

"I just received my watch, and all I can say is—wow. It looks and feels incredible. The photos on the website are great, but they honestly don't do it justice. Seeing it in person is a completely different experience. I'm really glad I decided to buy it, and I'll definitely be keeping a close eye on what Heron does next. I'm confident this won't be the last Heron in my collection. A huge congratulations to everyone on the team. You've created something truly special."

Amazing watch and great showroom experience!

"The Maninor had been one of my most wanted watches for a long time, but these beauties sell like hotcakes and I could never get my hands on one online. This summer I was taking a trip to Montreal and decided to visit Heron’s showroom to finally see the watch in person, and what a great experience it was! Being able to see all their models in different colors, get a feel for their size and weight, and see how the colors change under different lighting is something you just can’t really get from pictures. And most importantly, actually trying them on your wrist is a completely different experience. On top of that, you get to talk and nerd out about watches with people who genuinely love watchmaking, which makes the whole experience even better. The pictures on the website are great, but they’re even more beautiful in real life. If you ever have the opportunity to book a visit, I highly recommend it!"
