A TRIBUTE TO THE CLASSICS
VINTAGE-INSPIRED

Like with the core Marinor model, we looked at classic 20th-century dive watches for inspiration, focusing on military timekeepers for this design. We highlighted unique elements like the intriguing “anonymous dial” and the “sterile rotating bezel” to create a unique timepiece that references vintage design cues while being built to today's specifications.

ANONYMOUS DIAL

The “anonymous” dial is a common find among vintage military watches, Panerai being one notable example. This phenomenon was also seen among other brands for manufacturing efficiency or even political reasons.

STERILE ROTATING BEZEL

The rotating sterile bezel is another feature pioneered by vintage military watches. It was developed for military diving teams equipped with "rebreathers," which allowed them to stay underwater for prolonged periods of time. This rendered the traditional 60-minute timing bezel superfluous; a single marker was enough to track the elapsed hours.

BOXED SAPPHIRE CRYSTAL

This design choice is a nod to the "boxed crystals" often found on 20th-century dive watches. While fairly common with acrylic crystals, many brands shy away from boxed sapphire crystals due to their tedious and expensive manufacturing process. However, its vintage look and high scratch resistance make it a perfect match for the Marinor collection.

SWISS-LUMINOVA

A reliable watch can be easily read in any settings, even pitch darkness. Super-Luminova® is a household name in the world of swiss watchmaking.

SCRATCH-RESISTANT STEEL

Like the classic Marinor, the case and bracelet undergo a hardening treatment that renders the 316L stainless steel highly scratch-resistant, scoring 1200 HV on the Vickers hardness scale.
