The Party-Trick Just Got Better
For this Special Edition, Mirabel’s signature “party trick” gets even better. Still a dress watch at heart — with its gloss enamel dial, applied numerals, mixed-finishing case, fluted cabochon crown, and smooth leather strap — the Cigar-Club Edition hides a full Swiss Super-LumiNova layer beneath the enamel. A watch designed to blend in when the lights are on, and light up when the lights are down.
A Scene from the Cigar Club
Picture this: you climb out of a time machine and find yourself in a wood-paneled cigar lounge. Warm brass fixtures, soft leather chairs, a quiet haze in the air, and dim light — a lost scenery straight out of a moody, slightly overplayed film noir.
The Cigar-Club Edition was shaped around that atmosphere, and the watches you might’ve seen on the wrists of pin-striped-blazer gentlemen: restrained sizing, bold case shapes, warm tones. Rather than leaning on literal cigar motifs or a tobacco-leaf dial, we turned to tone, materials, and early Art Deco cues. The smoked-salmon enamel dial sits within a clean sector layout, paired with applied sans-serif Arabic numerals for crisp, period-correct legibility. The fluted crown and sapphire cabochon add a refined accent to the profile, while the ornate enamel world-timer caseback carries the decorative spirit of the era.
Watches That Set The Tone
The Cigar-Club Edition draws inspiration from the character-rich dress watches that once lived in cigar lounges and private clubs. Salmon-dial Rolex Bubblebacks, two-tone Longines sector dials, early Omega CK references, and rounded Cartier pieces each contributed something to the palette, proportions, and mood of this model.
Rather than copying any single watch, we borrowed from the warmth of their design language — the soft tones, careful geometry, subtle contrasts, and small decorative details that defined the era. These mid-century pieces carried a charm and intimacy rarely found in today’s colder, more minimal designs. The Mirabel Cigar-Club carries that spirit forward, adding a contemporary twist with its lume-backed enamel dial.
Handcrafted Baranil Leather Strap
To ensure the Mirabel had a strap worthy of a true dress watch, we sourced a premium Baranil leather strap, crafted to Héron’s exact specifications. Every detail was carefully considered to complement the elegance and refinement of the Mirabel, resulting in a strap that is both luxurious and durable.
Made from Baranil calfskin leather sourced from Tanneries Haas in France, the strap offers a supple yet structured feel, with a fine grain that catches light beautifully. Hand-stitched with linen thread and finished with sealed edges for longevity, it pairs seamlessly with the Mirabel—completing the watch with both comfort and refinement.
The "world-Timer" Caseback
No After-thoughts
Staying true to Héron's DNA, the Mirabel features a beautifully decorated solid steel caseback. Inspired by Art Deco design, it displays a GMT world timer with each hour corresponding to a city representing its time zone—a tribute to the golden age of travel.
At the center, an enamel-painted centerpiece elegantly separates daytime and nighttime on the world timer, adding a vibrant and functional touch to the flourished design. A perlage finish is hidden inside the caseback for the watchmaker's pleasure.
