La Marinor a été conçue en privilégiant la résistance aux rayures, à commencer par son boîtier et son bracelet. Tous deux sont fabriqués en acier inoxydable 316L de qualité marine, puis traités par un procédé de durcissement de surface qui porte la dureté du matériau à environ 1200 HV, contre environ 120 HV pour l'acier non traité. Le résultat est une finition qui résiste mieux aux marques et à l'usure de l'utilisation quotidienne, et pas seulement à la corrosion en mer.

La même approche s'applique à l'utilisation du saphir pour le verre et la lunette. Spécialement choisi pour sa dureté, le saphir contribue à préserver les surfaces et la clarté visuelle de la montre au fil du temps, renforçant ainsi l'objectif de durabilité de la Marinor là où cela compte le plus.

La Marinor s'inspire des cristaux acryliques bombés et des lunettes en bakélite des montres de plongée du milieu du siècle, connues pour leur profondeur et leur présence visuelle. Plutôt que de reproduire ces matériaux, la Marinor les réinterprète en saphir — choisi pour son exceptionnelle résistance aux rayures et sa durabilité.

In the 1950s, the modern dive watch took shape. Models like the Blancpain Fifty Fathoms, Omega Seamaster, and Rolex Submariner defined what a professional diving instrument should be: clear, robust, and purpose-built.

The Marinor draws from this era — restrained proportions, strong bezels, high legibility, and balanced dials — not to replicate any single watch, but to capture the shared language that made these references enduring.

Great watch

"The watch looks and feels great. Seems to have a good build quality and the flat link bracelet is perfect. At 39 mm, it's the smallest watch I could wear, so if you have a larger wrist, this model won't work. The hour hand is a little hard to see in low light. That's the only small fault I can see. Overall, still a 5 star. The scratch resistant bracelet and beautiful 50s style watch face is awesome."

Heron Marinor Caribbean Blue

"The color hits first. This hue of blue is like no other watch I've owned. The sapphire domed crystal and the markers give it a unique appearance certain to be eye pleasing for most. I have two Tudor Black Bays so it's not surprising to me that I really like the markers layout. I have to give them a lot of credit for choosing this handset too. Hands that actually reach all the way to the markers is a huge bonus for me. Although the case design isn't anything remarkable, its proportions are perfect. The short L2L and the downturned lugs means this sits flat on the wrist, which makes it an easy all day wear. When I first held it in hand, I thought the bracelet felt a bit cheap with edges a bit to sharp for my tastes. But it looks great and it wears very well. There have to be some tradeoffs in an affordable watch to keep it affordable. In summary; this is a very comfortable watch to wear, it looks like no other on the market, and it is very well regulated. A requirement for me personally."

"Heron made a little more than just a functional diver watch with the Marinor Rainbow. A 39mm (46mm Lug to Lug) makes the watch sits comfortably on many different sizes of wrists. 1200HV hardened Stainless Steel will overcome many challenges. The Dial is not just cosmetically colorful but its actually functional to tell you what depth you are on. 20mm lug width with so much potential to pair the watch with so many different colors straps. Absolute joy for the eye and a safe partner for the dives."

A watch you can wear with pride

"Gorgeous watch, and a fitting tribute to what I studied here in Canada, since that's where it's made. You get a lot for the price point — microadjustment at this level is hard to come by. The lume colour and brightness are fantastic, the movement is Japanese, bezel clicks are crisp, the bracelet is quick-release, and it's topped off with a sapphire crystal. The carrying case is solid too. Heron really delivered with this one."
